Check out John Turturro on Late Night with Stephen Colbert
John Turturro took to Late Night to discuss The Night Of
The Night Of’s first episode was a resounding success, and it could be partially due to that fact that John Turturro has been out promoting the series. Turturro’s character doesn’t even enter into the series until the first episode’s third act, but there promises to be big things for his character going forward.
John Turturro was on Late Night with Stephen Colbert to talk about his work on The Night Of, and much more. The entire interview doesn’t actually spend too long on The Night Of, but having Turturro on is a treat regardless. Watch a clip of the interview below to see Turturro to talk about the “emotional nakedness” of the series and then, of course, actual nakedness.

That’s probably not the sort of story you expected to hear, though it is always a delight to see Colbert crack up. Spoiler alert: filming sex scenes can be both awkward and funny. The Night Of is an incredibly somber affair, though Turturro’s character, Jack Stone, brings a little life to it.
John Turturro is most well-known of this work with the Cohen Bros, though he hasn’t starred in one of their films in some time. His work on The Night Of, even what little there has been so far, has been fantastic. Though he’s not the only one: Riz Ahmed, who plays Naz, also turns in a stunning performance. While it’s nice to see Turturro out and about, perhaps it would have been even more interesting to see Ahmed.
Turturro is set to star in all eight episodes of The Night Of. In case you aren’t watching it yet, considering this a strong recommendation. The Night Of, so far, is one of the finest crime shows ever produced.
