Announcing the FanSided Fandom 250
FanSided is ranking the top fandoms in entertainment, and HBO is home to one of the best.
HBO is home to some of the most diverse programming in the world, and that has attracted a monumental fanbase over the years. The people who tune into HBO every Sunday for their primetime drama, those that in it for sports, or even fans of Bill Maher and Last Week Tonight make up one of the largest fanbases in the world. That’s why FanSided has ranked HBO fans as one of their top 250 fandoms.

The Fandom 250 is FanSided’s way of recognizing loyal fans all over the world — and that’s something that HBO has in spades. Sure, fans of Game of Thrones may not be down with, say, The Night Of or Girls, but that’s all part of the fun. It’s the diversity and creativity of HBO fans that makes them standout. Take Westworld fans for example — that show just premiered but it didn’t stop fans from dressing up on Halloween. That’s some serious dedication.
This is a fun little way to recognize the fandoms that not only keep FanSided going, but also the networks that they’re fans of. The Fandom 250 also includes sports fans, by the way, so scoring a place on the list is no easy task. Last we checked there were many sports teams with impressively dedicated fans. But they can’t touch HBO fans.

Between the combined power of Game of Thrones, Westworld, and Veep fans, we’ve got this locked down. Just like HBO is the king of award shows, it will also be king of the fandoms.
