You and your Best Friend Could be on Insecure next Season

Insecure is running a contest for two besties to have an on-screen appearance next season.

Insecure is a great show about a lot of things, but one of those things is friendship. It’s with that in mind that the series has launched a new contest for discover young talent. You and your best friend (or frenemy, we don’t judge) can score a chance at having a single on-screen appearance during Insecure season 2. Not a bad way to jumpstart a showbiz career.

You can head over to the official contest page for all of the detail, but basically you and your friend will have to submit a video explaining why you are worth of being on the show. You’ll only have 30 second each, so make it count. There are also other rules concerning what you are permitted to wear and so forth, so don’t neglect giving the site a thorough reading. The gig is for two whole months and the winners will be given stipends. You know, for living.

It’s no real surprise that Issa Rae seems like a chill person to work with. If you’re going to get a free start in entertainment somewhere, you could do much worse that Insecure. No doubt the contest is going to be quite competitive, so make sure to give it your all. The contest runs through 11/23 to 12/13, so that gives you just under a month to get it together and submit. The actual submission will be through the use of a hashtag on Instagram.
