Frances is out for Blood in the Preview for Divorce’s Finale
The preview for Divorce’s season finale finds Frances in attack mode while Robert flounders.
The first season of Divorce has basically been about a couple trading blows. Frances and Robert have gone after each other, pulled back, and so on. But there may not be any way to go back from the events of the season finale, ‘Détente.’ We are aware that the meaning of the word relates to a cooling of tensions, but the preview shows us everything but.

Frances’ new lawyer is out to take Robert for everything he’s worth, and it looks like it’s going to work. Much of the preview finds Robert suffering, something which was destined to happen once we learned that he is in some very serious debt. Frances is finally going to open her new gallery, but we’d bet good money that he divorce is going to put a damper on some of the excitement. Not to mention the financial burden that it will bring.
There is also a quick flash of the children looking awkward, so expect some good old-fashioned family drama. It’s possible that, by the end of the episode, Frances and Robert will be able to come to some sort of understanding. There isn’t, however, any hint of that in the preview.
Next: Tensions run high in these Divorce photos.
Robert is in a dire financial situation, so unless Frances pulls back a bit (or is able to rein her lawyer in,) there is no way for him to come out of this unscathed. It’s important to point out that the two of them are able to come together in the beginning of the preview when talking about Frances’ art gallery, which Robert admits to not having been so supportive of. And then, well, it kind of goes south from there.
The season finale of Divorce will air this Sunday at its normal time of 10:00 PM EST.
