The new Trailer for The Leftovers Season 3 Brings Armageddon

There’s nothing like apocalyptic rain to get the blood flowing

There’s always been something apocalyptic about The Leftovers. It’s easy to pin it on the rapture-like event that set everything in motion, but it’s also a tone and state of mind. The Leftovers season 3 will double down on all of that, if the new trailer is anything to go by. This is the first full trailer for the final season – the previous two were just teasers.

What we can piece together from this is that Kevin’s dad, and others, are prophesying the end of the world. We know that floods will play a part in season 3, and so will Kevin. He’s already proven himself to be important in a quasi-religious sense, and that’s only going to become more pronounced. As far as we can tell it looks like just about everyone is getting ready for the end, and that even includes trying out coffins. For some reason, Kevin is the only one that can do anything about it.

The most exciting part, however, comes at the end. Nora receives a mysterious call asking if she would like to see her children again. As we learned in the first season, Nora’s entire family was taken in the Departure. It would be quite a surprise for someone to return after being taken, though we don’t know if that’s what the caller is actually driving at. The Leftovers season 3 is definitely going to up the biblical factor, which feels only natural at this point.

We’re not expecting a happy ending here. This has never been that type of show. In fact, we don’t expect all of the main cast to survive. The Leftovers season 3 will premiere on April 16th.
