4. Nikki leaves a used tampon in Emmit’s desk drawer

Nikki is determined to making things right between her boyfriend/parole officer Ray and his brother Emmit to “unblock his chi,” whether that means having them bury the hatchet or concocting a plan to steal the vintage stamp that Maurice wasn’t able to themselves. The couple chooses the latter option while pretending to do the former, having Ray patch things up with his older brother outside as Nikki breaks in to steal the stamp in his home office.

Unfortunately, she finds that the framed stamp has been replaced with a picture of a jackass, which she’s convinced was purposely used to represent Ray. After she finds a receipt for a safe deposit box in his desk drawer, she decides to get even by leaving a used tampon behind and uses menstrual blood to scrawl the words “Who’s the ass now?” on the picture of the donkey, a situation which Sy later describes as “a feminine hygiene product deployed as a weapon.”

It turns out Emmit’s cleaning lady broke the frame so he sent it to get it fixed, but the action is more than enough to escalate their feud even further, which brings us to…
