1. Varga’s henchmen throw Irv off a parking garage.
It wouldn’t be an episode of Fargo without at least one murder. Irv is this week’s collateral damage after he’s met by Varga’s thugs Meemo and Yuri Gurka, the latter of whom happens to share a name with the alleged murderer that the East German man from last week’s opening scene was accused of being. Yuri waits for Irv by his car in a parking garage and engages in conversation about “the old country” Ukraine, confessing to being one of the Cossacks that tortured his ancestors.
After informing him that he knows he searched for Varga’s name, Meemo helps Yuri toss Irv over the side of the parking garage. Demonstrating his ruthlessness, Varga later casually informs Emmit and Sy that he’s behind Irv’s death. Oh Irv, we hardly knew ye…
