American Gods makes its big debut this Sunday on Starz, and we have the info on how to watch the first episode “The Bone Orchard” live online.
Starz (and the fans) are hoping that American Gods become a massive hit, and its first episode airs this Sunday. For those uninitiated into the world of American Gods is adapted from the award winning novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. The series will follow ex-convict Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), recently released from prison and hired by the mysterious Mr. Wednesday, played by Ian McShane.
American Gods appears poised to be the breakout hit of the summer, especially considering the absence of power house shows like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. First seasons can be tricky however, as the tone and nature of the show can often be hard to establish while simultaneously laying the ground work for the future.
The show struggled to even find a home initially starting out at HBO, before landing at Starz in 2014. Season 1 consists of right episodes, and is said to cover one third of the novel on which it is based. Many characters, especially the female ones, are said to have expanded roles from the book though, so there will be plenty of surprises for book readers.
