5 things we learned from the House of Cards Season 5 trailer
Luke Matheis holds an election sign for television character Frank Underwood, from the show ‘House of Cards,’ June 7, 2016 outside a polling station in West Hollywood, California.

3. Frank is going to win the election
It’s pretty clear that Frank is going to win the election against Conway. We get a shot of a worried Conway, but the electoral map is looking pretty red so we have a feeling that Frank is going to pull the rug out from under him in a last minute victory win.
We also think that Conway is going to crack, big time. We get a glimpse of him smashing some nice china in his home with his wife sitting nearby. Clearly, the picture perfect American family we were introduced to last year is going to crack under the pressure of the election.
2. Claire has long hair in one shot
And it’s interesting because in the rest of the trailer she has her normal short hair, but in one shot we see Frank and Claire sitting in a limo, holding hands as he says “Underwood” and she has long blond hair. It may seem like a small detail, but it brings up the question of whether or not we are getting a glimpse of the future or not.
1. 2016, 2020, 2024, 2028, 2032, 2036…under wood
The Underwoods here to say and two-term presidencies be damned. With Frank eerily rattling off four-year interval dates it’s clear that the Underwoods plan on staying in the office whether the constitution allows them to or not.
The question is though how far is House of Cards willing to go? Will the show continue to push the boundaries of what can happen when a psycho is elected into office?
