This week’s episode of Fargo “The Law of Non-Contradiction” was a beautiful, tripped-out and stand-out episode.

There was no Stussy brother drama, no outlandish Nikki moments or business meetings gone awry. Instead, we have Gloria, a character who has been overlooked in the season so far, an android and some much-needed self-reflection.

But, it’s still Fargo, so here are out top 5 WTF moments from tonight’s episode:

1. We aren’t in Fargo anymore, we’re in a cartoon

This week’s episode primarily takes place in California, Hollywood in L.A. to be exact. But before that, we were back in time with Thaddeus Mobley on the verge of writing his new book The Planet of Wyh, about a robot looking for the meaning of life. It all makes sense though when we learn that Carrie Coon’s Gloria is on a plane to L.A. reading a Mobley’s science fiction book to pass the time.

There’s more to this science fiction writer that meets the eye though, it turns out that he’s Gloria’s father-in-law who was murdered in the first episode. The episode also uses cartoons to narrate the story of the little-lost android throughout the hour.
