This week’s episode of Fargo “The Lord of No Mercy” gave us another reason to say oh geez with the first major, and shocking, death of the season.

With that being said, we are taking a look at the 5 major WTF moments from last night’s episode and, Fargo being as Fargo as it could be, there was quite a lot to dig our teeth into.

1. Fargo Faked the Moon Landing

Yes, you read that right. Varga is blowing our minds (especially Sy’s) be claiming that the famous first moon landing was, in fact, fake and filmed in a movie studio.

Sy’s not buying Varga’s story and, frankly, it’s hard for us to buy anything that comes spewing about of Varga’s mouth at this point. Most of it is incomprehensible jargon that the other Fargo-dwellers just can’t wrap their heads around.

Still, we love Varga’s madness

2. Varga’s toothpick

The highest award for the grossest moment in last night’s episode goes to Varga and his metal toothpick.

We still don’t really know what Varga’s deal is on Fargo. First, we see him gorging on food and throwing up, now his twisting and jamming an oversized metal toothpick into his bloody gums in his office (which is very noticeable, considering Emmit’s office has all glass walls).

So is Varga just really into pain or is there something deeper going on with his character we haven’t picked up on yet? It’s clear that Varga is not like the others in Fargo (in fact, I don’t think Varga’s like anyone anywhere).

I mean, look at how he uses Google. He looked so awe-struck it was as if he had never seen a computer before, let alone a top search engine.
