We celebrate Father’s Day with the 5 best father’s on televison

When a zombie apocalypse separated him from his family, Rick Grimes did his gottdam level best to find them and keep them safe.

The Walking Dead may have started out as a story about zombies, but it really has always been a story about a father (Rick Grimes) who would do absolutely anything to keep his family intact and safe. Rick is such a standup guy, and a great dad, that he adopted the love child of his wife (Lori) and his best pal (Shane), Judith, and has never once acted like she was anyone but his own daughter.

Rick may have made many mistakes as a leader on The Walking Dead, but he has never faltered in his role as a father. When is son Carl (CORAL) wouldn’t stay in the house, like he was told, Rick did not punish his son — like everyone wanted him to do — but he taught him valuable life lessons and taught him how to shoot a gun and survive in a world filled with the undead.

Rick has, on multiple occasions, walked through the very gates of hell to protect not only his actual family members but also those people who he deeply cares for.

So, Happy Father’s Day, Rick Grimes, we sincerely hope you have a great day killing zombies and fighting Negan. Sit back and rest, you’re going to need it next season.
