HBO has released a brief look at tonight’s all-new episode of Game of Thrones — “Stormborn.”

Game of Thrones season 7 continues tonight, Sunday, July 23, with episode 2, “Stormborn.” This episode should be focused more on Daenerys Targaryen, as “Stormborn” is one of her many titles. However, we won’t spend the entire hour with the Dragon Queen and her allies, as there are several characters continually moving toward their ultimate destination for the season.

One of those characters is Arya Stark, who will be traveling through a snow-covered forest on her way to what we assume is Winterfell. HBO has released a brief look at an Arya scene from “Stormborn” ahead of tonight’s episode. Check it out:

As you can see, Arya is startled by something behind her, as she hears a branch snap. Who or what could be sneaking up on a trained assassin like Arya? Well, we have an idea. Warning: Possible spoilers follow.

In season 1, Arya accompanied her father and sister to King’s Landing, and along the way, she was forced to part with her dire wolf Nymeria, in order to protect her from Cersei’s wrath. Nymeria had bitten Joffrey while he and Arya were fighting.

In the books, Nymeria not only survives but becomes the alpha of a massive wolf pack that terrorizes and scours the Riverlands. In the preview for “Stormborn,” a wolf can be seen snarling at Arya in the woods.

So, will we see the reunion of Arya and her long-lost direwolf Nymeria in tonight’s new episode of Game of Thrones? It does appear as if this is, in fact, going to finally happen.

The question now remains: Will Arya and Nymeria’s reunion last, or will they part immediately after encountering each other? We will have to wait until tonight to find out.
