Video: The Greyjoys fight at sea on Game of Thrones “Stormborn”

Euron Greyjoy has finally caught up with Theon and Yara and a giant sea battle ensues on Game of Thrones 702 “Stormborn.”

Well, Euron Greyjoy did promise Cersei he wouldn’t return to King’s Landing until he had the perfect gift for her. In tonight’s episode of Game of Thrones season 7, episode 2, “Stormborn,” we saw what that gift is going to be. Check it out:

In the books, Euron is known as the “Storm” and it certainly looks like he brought one with him as his ship, the Silence, appears through the mist and lightning. The moment the Kraken on his sails is revealed, you could almost feel Theon and Yara’s hopes deflate.

The Sand Snakes were completely outmatched in this fight. Obara Sand was quickly dispatched by Euron, while Nymeria Sand brought a whip to try and take him down. Such silly things will only get you killed.

Finally, Theon makes a cowardly decision.

Look, I get that Theon is still suffering from the PTSD he has as a result of the unspeakable torture he received at the hands of Ramsay Bolton, but you can’t make a choice to abandon you sister to the whims of a madman and expect to ever come back from it.

Hopefully, Yara won’t suffer at the hands of Euron…he is her uncle after all. And, if Theon gets a chance to redeem himself, possibly by rescuing his sister, then maybe his choice to bail won’t be for nothing.
