Video: Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen meet for the first time on Game of Thrones

It finally happened! The moment Game of Thrones fan have been waiting for, for six seasons: Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen met face to face on episode 793, “The Queen’s Justice.”

Since Game of Thrones season 1, episode 1, “Winter is Coming,” fans of the show and books, A Song of Ice and Fire, have been waiting for Jon Snow (Ice) to finally meet Daenerys Targaryen (Fire).

Since the revelation in season 6 that Jon’s real birth parents were Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, a meeting between Jon and Dany will be one of Nephew and Aunt. But, as fans of the show know all too well, the Targaryens liked to keep their bloodline pure as brother often married sister. And, seeing as how Jon and Dany are very close in age unless they find out who Jon really is, love might be in the air.

As you can see, Jon isn’t too keen on bending the knee to Daenerys. Had this meeting taken place before Jon was anointed King in the North, he might have been willing to bend his knee in fealty to the Dragon Queen, and, even though Jon was the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, he would have readily been willing to please the new Queen with three full grown dragons, an army of Unsullied, and a Dothraki Horde at her side. She certainly could have helped the Night’s Watch, had she come across the Narrow Sea a season or two earlier.

Now, we wait and see how these two will interact and get along. Perhaps a dragon testing Jon will impress Dany a bit more. Let’s wait and see.
