Video: Watch Drogon wreak havoc on the Lannister army on Game of Thrones “The Spoils of War”

There is nothing more glorious than watching a full-grown dragon absolutely scorch everything and everyone in its path, much like Drogon did on Game of Thrones 704, “The Spoils of War.”

“Dracarys!” Remember when Dany was teaching baby Drogon to breathe fire on tiny bits of meat way back in season two? Yeah, it’s hard to believe that cute little pet lizard with wings is now a colossal harbinger of death…but he is.

And, House Lannister’s army — led by Jaime Lannister himself — felt the full wrath of Drogon’s flame on Game of Thrones episode 704, “The Spoils of War,” and believe you me, there aren’t many spoils left after Dany and Drogon finished with her enemy.

Let’s set the scene: Dany and Drogon swoop out of the clouds, soaring just above her Dothraki Horde, as they charge full speed into the Lannister army. Jaime and Bronn watch helplessly as Drogon’s fire instantly turns wagons into ash, and cooks soldiers alive in their armor.

Jaime valiantly stays with his forces, despite being told to flee to King’s Landing by Bronn. He tells Bronn to get to Qyburn’s Scorpion to fire his “dragon killing bolt” at Drogon, and he eventually hits the dragon in the shoulder, but it’s not fatal.

Drogon lands after torching the Scorpion, and he smashes it to bits with his tail, ensuring it can’t be used to hurt him again. Of course, after that, Jaime sees an opportunity to end the war in one heroically wild charge toward the grounded Daenerys Targaryen…but you saw how that didn’t end very well for the Kingslayer.
