The Good Place — A++
The Kristen Bell and Ted Danson starring sitcom ended last year with a major bombshell: everyone was stuck in The Bad Place. In hindsight, most people should have seen the reveal coming because the town only had a fro-yo store and no ice cream. Nevertheless, they have had their mind wiped while Michael tries to keep torturing them in secret. Yet, when the group thwarts his plan every time he begins to rethink his original plan.
Now, everyone is working together so that Michael won’t be forced into an early and painful retirement while the group tries to earn their way into The Good Place. Mike Schur strikes again with another smart and painfully funny comedy. Season two has been even better than the freshmen run in quality and it comes as no surprise that ratings are up.
Typically Mike Schur comedies struggle to keep up in the ratings, Parks & Recreation or Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but The Good Place has benefited from word of mouth and solid Netflix viewing. This finally gives the show some of the attention it deserves even though it has been locked out the award shows thus far.

No worries, this is still a major hit for NBC and an awards-bait comedy that will eventually get the recognition it deserves. Kristen Bell has deserved an award since her days on Veronica Mars and one day that time will come. If you need a fall show to catch up, definitely check out this hilarious sitcom that finds a way around consistent cursing on live television.
