Doctor Who unveils new logo and behind-the-scenes news
By Shawn Lealos
The 11th season of Doctor Who is coming with a new female Doctor, a new logo and major behind-the-scenes changes.
Of course, the news that has the entire Doctor Who world talking is the fact that Jodie Whitaker is coming onboard as the first female Doctor. While the new Doctor will take a little bit to get used to, John Barrowman of all people said (via Cinema Blend) that this is a positive thing and people should wait until they see what the new stories entail.
"We did the first regeneration from Christopher into David, so to speak. People weren’t happy about it. Seriously, there was a lot of upset and there was a lot of ‘This is ridiculous blah blah blah.’ Because David at that time was younger, and we all had to accept everybody loving it and everybody hating it … If we forget the producers who are making the decision, if we believe it as that world — I’m getting really geeky here — if we believe it as that world, it could possibly happen. It could be a girl, right?"
It does make sense, and this isn’t the first new Doctor to cause panic among the fanbase. However, more changes are coming than just introducing a brand-new female Doctor.
First of all, there is a brand-new Doctor Who logo that passes up the traditional look of the logo for something a little sleeker. Honestly, this looks more like something from a modern sci-fi show than from a classic like Doctor Who — and that is a good thing. Here is a look at the video showing the logo and then the image of the new Doctor with the logo above her.
There are also a lot of things happening behind-the-scenes. New showrunner Chris Chibnall is proving that the 11th season of Doctor Who is going carry his fingerprints all over it and even told some older writers, such as Jamie Mathieson, that they are no longer needed for the series.

Next, Murray Gold, who composed the music for Doctor Who since 2005 also left the series.
Honestly, since the new Doctor is a female, a lot of Doctor Who fans are already worried. However, there should be no worries about a female taking the lead and moving the show into the future. What fans should worry about is the new showrunner making wholesale changes, as it appears they are doing, and ultimately altering what fans love about the show, to begin with.
