New Legion trailer claims that nothing was real

A brand-new Legion trailer just hit online, and it claims that nothing we have seen so far has been real.
There was an earlier teaser that aired in the middle of the FX sizzle reel for their 2018 original television series, but this is the first teaser that discusses what fans can come to expect from the second season of the series.
For anyone who is unaware of what Legion is all about, this is a TV show set inside the world of the X-Men universe but is unlike any comic book adaptation you will ever see. This isn’t so much about heroes and villains as it is about the hero — David Haller — coming to grips with reality.
That is where this first Legion trailer for the second season of the FX series hits home. Much like I Robot, the showrunners for Legion want fans to question everything they have seen. As a matter of fact, much like David had to understand that his powers were not delusions at all, the Shadow King (Audrey Plaza) wants us as viewers to believe we are delusional as well.

If the Legion trailer has you confused, that is precisely the point. Legion is one of the most creative and intelligent comic book TV shows to ever air and the second season promises more of the same. With an interesting look at mental illness in the world of a comic book world, Legion succeeded where lesser shows would have failed.
The one question that this brand-new Legion trailer asks is whether or not anything that happened in the first season was real, or if things never actually left the mental asylum. It is also interesting to realize that Aubrey Plaza played the Shadow King in the first season, but Navid Negahban will play the character in season 2.

Despite that, here is Aubrey Plaza back and the center of attention in the new Legion trailer. It might be time to buckle up because Legion expects to deliver a wild ride once again this season. Legion returns to FX on Tuesday, April 3.
