Jessica Jones returns to Netflix in less than a week but the streaming service is finally releasing some photos with bigger hints towards this upcoming season. Although Leah Gibson’s Ingrid is still missing from all of the teasers, the new season is finally beginning to take shape. The new photos see the titular private eye sharing the screen with a lot of the secondary characters, alluding to larger storylines for both Trish and Hogarth.

In a recent trailer, Trish can be heard talking about becoming a sidekick to Jessica despite her sister’s trepidation. Based on the creepy setting and the flashlight, it looks like the duo is investigating together. Considering former child star became an immediate fan-favorite last year, it’s not surprising that the writers would choose to begin her journey towards becoming a superhero rather than keep her on the fringes.

Of course, teaming up with Jessica does have its disadvantages. The private eye showed throughout Jessica Jones that she’s not afraid to use her powers to intimidate a person for information. Based on Trish’s concerned face, she might not be totally on board with her sister’s methods in this upcoming season.

What trouble has the detective gotten herself into this time? News of Jessica’s arrest this season came up during the first release of photos when she was seen handcuffed on a police phone. Her previous run-in’s with the law hasn’t been great and it’s never a shock to see her in an interrogation room. However, from this photo, it looks like whoever Jessica and Hogarth are talking to is the actual person arrested this time around. It appears as though they are the ones who are handcuffed, and it could be the mysterious Ingrid during their first meeting.

Maybe her new neighbor isn’t exactly as squeaky clean as he looks. This is Jessica Jones, where people do a lot of things to survive. While it’s not totally clear what he’s looking at, it has the appearance of being a fake id. Based on the artwork in the background, he might be an unemployed, and struggling, single dad. It’s a lucrative business to sell fake ids, and it would help Oscar make ends meet.

It wouldn’t be Jessica Jones unless she was in a weirdly lit building staring at something or someone with disdain. There isn’t much to go on from the photo, but the bluish hue in the background could be a clue that the scene will soon turn purple for a meeting with Kilgrave.

What exactly is Jessica running away from? Her face makes it look like the danger lies ahead but since everyone else is running forwards it would seem as if it’s coming from the building behind them. There could be an attack from the mysterious new killer on the loose, or maybe the car accident that has been seen in all of the trailers sets something in motion.

Lumped together with the other Jessica Jones photos, the one above actually does tell a story. Early set pictures teased that Trish would beat up some guys who attacked Malcolm on the street. While this photo does see Hellcat springing into action like the others, it does have New York’s newest hero checking on her friend’s injuries.

Hogarth is a shark, and there’s no surprise she would be speaking at a “Women in Law” event on Jessica Jones. The real question is how this scene will play into the greater season storyline. Perhaps the function is attacked, which leads Hogarth to seek out Jessica’s help or maybe she’s approached by an IGH board member there. Either way, it seems like a weird detour for the series to take if it doesn’t fit into the overall storyline.

Finally, Janet McTeer’s mysterious character gets a better image but it still doesn’t reveal anything about her. Based on her black turtleneck and trench coat, it’s clear that she’s supposed to be the type of woman no one knows anything about. All that’s known about her is her connection to Jessica, which will be explored throughout season two. After watching the trailers, she’s undoubtedly either a part of or a former member of IGH, and helping Jessica might ease her conscious about whatever she’s done with the company.
