Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion reunite for season two of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Harris and Fillion had worked together before teaming up for Netlfix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. Back in 2008, the duo did a three-part musical web series called Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog.

While the characters on the web series were enemies, the same cannot be said about the two actors in real life. Fillion will be seen in the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events and Neil Patrick Harris shared his excitement for this casting.

"“It’s really fun to work with actors who can play in a sandbox but don’t toss sand everywhere. You still have to hit your marks every time and monitor the crew and respect schedules and be a worker. And Nathan’s a worker through and through.”"

After working with him in 2008, Harris appreciated the work ethic Fillion brought to his role and thus couldn’t wait to bring him in for season two.

With the spastic, all-over-the-place nature of A Series of Unfortunate Events, Harris knew that Fillion would be the perfect person to bring into the fold, and who would be capable of keeping up with the frenzied storyline.

Fillion will be playing the role of Jacques Snicket, Lemony Snicket’s younger brother (played by Patrick Warburton) and who was also a former classmate of Count Olaf’s. Warburton and Fillion playing siblings? Yes, please! Harris also shared why he felt Fillion was perfect for the role of Jacques.

"“I was a big proponent of Nathan’s casting. I think Patrick and Nathan come from the same world actor-wise. I could totally see them being siblings. And Nathan possesses great style. He has great focus and force and intention, which is what you needed for the role of Jacques.”"
