New Legion first look trailer sheds some light on season two

Don’t expect Legion to get any less confusing this season.

One of the greatest strengths of the Marvel series was how baffling it was. The first look trailer for season two promises even more craziness to come. Fans should buckle in because David Haller is about to take everyone on an even wilder ride.

The new trailer answers a big question right off the bat: what does David remember? Last time viewers saw him he was being sucked up into a floating orb.

More from Legion

Now, almost a year has gone by since he’s been missing. It’s clearly going to be a big mystery throughout season two about what exactly happened there. David says he can’t remember anything but Legion isn’t going to let him go that easily.

Normally time jumps can be grating on television but this series plans to make it interesting. David’s been missing for so long that he needs to rebuild relationships with everyone. However, Syd is still loyally by his side despite his new round of hallucinations. Can David be trusted? The Shadow King might have left his body but something new could have taken his mind.

Notably absent from the trailer is David’s sister, Amy. She was his only connection to the “regular” world and perhaps finding his birth parents. Legion might have to put his parentage on hold while the group tracks down Lenny and Oliver.

A new evil is coming but Legion still plans to focus on mental illness. Lenny’s departure doesn’t cure David of his issues and that’s bound to come up this season.

Creator, Noah Hawley, says the show plans to explore what causes delusions in both one person and a group. If everyone is seeing the same thing, does that mean they’re insane or sane? It’s certainly an intriguing question the show will attempt to tackle.

Next: Could Bruce Wayne be appearing in the upcoming Titans show?

Fans might not be getting any straight-forward answers, but they will get to see more dancing. The dance sequences have been a major hit on the series, and Legion plans to continue that. Make sure to tune in on April 3 for an even wilder experience than season one.
