New photos from Season 2 of 13 Reasons Why are released ahead of the premiere.

Now that we know when Season 2 of 13 Reasons Why is coming back – May 18, 2018 – more details are emerging about what we can expect as far as a plot.

As you know, Season 1 of the hit series centered around Hannah Baker’s suicide and how it affected her friends and classmates.

More from Netflix

Clay Jensen receives a set of tapes with Hannah’s voice recorded on them. Each side of each tape reveals a reason why she committed suicide and Clay eventually discovers that he is one of the reasons. By the end of the season most of the kids give depositions for an impending trial, Clay confronts Mr. Porter (the guidance counselor) about Hannah reaching out to him – and him doing nothing – and Tyler hides guns and ammunition in his room.

So, what’s in store for this season of the controversial drama?

We already know that each season will begin with a disclaimer offering help to those who may be at risk. We also know that showrunners may have reshot some plot points because they could have been too triggering in light of recent events in the real world.

According to TV Line, a trial is coming, and the goal will be to expose the actual reason Hannah killed herself. They posted five new photos of the next season. One of Clay having a serious conversation with a girl I can only assume is Skye. Another shows Mr. Porter pinning Brice up against the wall. Could he be righting his wrongs?
