Season 2 of GLOW is coming June 29 on Netflix.

The GLOW Season 2 trailer entered the ring today, and it looks even better than the first season.

The hit Netflix comedy, which debuted last year to critical and fan acclaim, will release all ten episodes on June 29, 2018. Alison Brie, who earned a Golden Globe nomination for last season, reprises her role as Ruth Wilder. The show also stars Marc Maron as Sam Sylvia, Betty Gilpin as Debbie Eagan, and Chris Lowell as Bash.

In case you don’t know anything about GLOW, the show within a show is based on GLOW: The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. It ran from the mid-to-late 1980s and starred female wrestlers in gimmicky personas and hokey costumes.

The first season of the 30-minute show ended with the ladies shooting the first live episode of their show.

But it looks like the gorgeous ladies of wrestling are facing some tough issues judging from the Season 2 trailer. Watch the trailer on Deadline or above.

The costumes are still racist, but considering the show takes place in the 1980s, political correctness doesn’t become a real player for another 20 years. The next seasons also seems to tackle sexism and sexual harassment. So, even though the show takes place 30 years ago, bringing in a #MeToo storyline makes it current.

Another tidbit from the trailer is that the show is in danger of cancellation. But this group of sassy and clever girls, I’m sure, will find a way to keep the show going. After all, in real life, GLOW ran for much longer. And while the current characters are loosely based on the original, each brings their own distinctive flavor to this series.

I’m excited about the next season of GLOW. Leave us a comment and tell us what you think of the trailer!
