Stranger Things: Father’s Day, video game, and comics!
By Ariba Bhuvad
With Stranger Things deep into production for season three, fans are being treated to all kinds of news and information! Are you ready for it?
Father’s Day was celebrated with a bang on the set of Stranger Things with their primary focus being on Joe Keery’s Steve Harrington. While he doesn’t actually play anyone’s father in Stranger Things, he played a father figure in the second season to all the kids. This became one of the most talked about and adored moments of the most recent season.
In the video posted above on Twitter, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, and Finn Wolfhard all praise Steve for the role model he plays in their character’s lives. It’s a good thing the Duffer brothers didn’t decide to kill Steve off as they originally intended, right?

According to the Duffer brothers, we will see more of Steven in the next season, and he will continue to take on the role of a father-like figure in the kids’ lives.
With production on season three in full swing, we are left in the dark about where the series is heading and are left with tidbits about the seasons that have passed. One particular aspect of past seasons that fans often question is what exactly happened to Will during season one?
And while we don’t exactly know what season three has in store for us, and what certain mysteries of the first two seasons actually mean, a comic series, that is set to release later this year, will explain what exactly happened to Will during his absence in the first season.
Netflix will be working with Dark Horse Comics to bring the world of Stranger Things to life in a comic series. This will be an amazing treat for fans while we wait for new seasons to stream (granted, there are still seasons to come).

The first series based on Will’s time in the Upside Down will be four issues long and begin its first installment on September 26th. Um, this sounds amazing, right?!
And if that doesn’t get you hyped up, then this piece of news surely will! Telltale Games is turning Stranger Things into a video game! Yup, that’s right.
The video game will launch on the Telltale platform with no set release date as of yet. Based on their previous games, we can assume and/or hope that the Stranger Things video game will be an interactive narrative experience that will allow players to completely immerse and dictate the story they are playing in. Just thinking about it gets us excited!
