Ozark: Netflix drops season 2 teaser and premiere date!

Ozark is officially returning on August 31st for its second season on Netflix–and fans have been gifted with a 40-second teaser to prepare!

Ozark is finally coming back! Who didn’t love the dark, gloomy side of Jason Bateman as he dabbled in the world of drugs and money laundering? Things got crazy extremely quick in the first season, leaving us to wonder what does the second season have in store for us?

Well, thanks to Netflix and them releasing a 40-second teaser for our viewing pleasure, we can get a quick glimpse into where the crime drama is headed in its sophomore season:

Suffice to say, the Byrde family is back–and the voice-overs allude to the dark secrets they harbor within them and the consequences that may result from them. The trailer reveals that dark times lie ahead but perhaps the most cryptic moment of the teaser is the sound of a gunshot and Laura Linney’s character saying, “So that’s it? We go back to that house, we go to bed, wake up in the morning and we kiss the kids?”

And looks like Bateman’s Marty plans to do just that.

When season two picks up, the Byrde family will still be very much a part of the drug/laundering life and as they find themselves settling into this life–a relentless attorney will show up in town to stir things up. Marty and Wendy will have a lot on their plate as they navigate through the murky waters of crime life, and of course, dealing with the Snells.
