Apart from characters, we also get a glimpse of the new Starfleet uniforms that is a homage to the fans of the original series. Don’t you just love it when they throw in things like that?

Producer Alex Kurtzman did announce that the character of fan favorite Spock will be in the second season, but we did not see him in the trailer that was released today. This doesn’t come as a shocker because fans have to be left pining for something, right? While the casting for this character has not been announced, the character of the original Number One will be played by Rebecca Romijn.

After the teaser’s premiere, it was announced that a new anthology series is in the works that will tie into Star Trek: Discovery. This is all very exciting news for fans of the original and new series, which has gotten a lot of praise for keeping the spirit of the old series alive while infusing it with some original thoughts and stories unlike before.
