Chris Vance cast in recurring role for Bosch season five
Transporter star Chris Vance joins the cast of Amazon’s Bosch for a recurring role in the upcoming fifth season.
Vance is set to play a recurring character named Dalton Walsh on Bosch, the leader of an opioid crime ring. Vance is known for his role as Frank Martin in the television adaptation of the Transporter films starring Jason Statham. He has also had recurring roles on several other series, including Non in Supergirl, James Whistler in Prison Break, Cole Harmon in Dexter, and Mason Gilroy in Burn Notice.

After focusing on more personal issues and digging up the murder of Bosch’s mother again last season, season five sounds like it will focus more on new challenges and antagonists. While I imagine Bosch won’t find himself any more impartial dealing with this new crime boss than with the very personal case last year, it will perhaps help the detective move forward after an emotionally fraught season.
Season five will be based on Connelly’s newest novel, Two Kinds of Truth, which not only follows Bosch’s fight against Dalton Walsh but has him fighting accusations of framing a man for murder. If one man is released based on these accusations, it will put in question every arrest made by Bosch during his entire career, potentially setting dozens of criminals free.
Bosch is an Amazon original series based on the book series by Michael Connelly focusing on Detective Harry Bosch. Titus Welliver plays the title character and produces the show.

The series co-stars Jamie Hector as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino as Lt. Grace Billets, Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch and Lance Reddick as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving. Bosch was developed for television by Eric Overmyer, a frequent collaborator of David Simon and co-creator of shows like The Wire and Treme. Overmyer also serves as executive producer along with author Michael Connelly.
