American Horror Story: The mystery behind Sarah Paulson’s characters

American Horror Story dropped a first look at one of the four characters Sarah Paulson is set to play in the upcoming season–and our guess is as good as yours.

American Horror Story is looking to go all in for the eighth season, and honestly, we cannot wait for it. Just this week we have learned that AHS alums Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott are set to return and got a sneak peek into one of the few characters Sarah Paulson is set to play. From what we understand this is one of three (possibly four) characters, and a tweet released on the series’ Twitter account has us wondering who the heck this one is.

Fans have made guesses regarding who this character is and some have gone as far as saying an evil Bingo hostess (once you see the video, you’ll understand why), according to Deadline. In the video, Paulson makes a cryptic comment stating, “Now is your chance to be one of the few remaining, this is your chance to survive, we’ll find you soon.”

Is this some sort of lottery system deciding who lives and who dies? Given that the season takes place during the apocalypse, we wouldn’t be surprised, and it seems like Paulson’s character will be the one in charge.

The upcoming eighth season of American Horror Story will be an epic crossover between previous seasons of Murder House and Coven. And far as we can tell, almost all of the cast members from both seasons will be a part of the season at some point including Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Stevie Nicks, amongst many of the other fan favorites.

Of the characters, Paulson will be playing it has been announced that she will be reprising the roles of the Headmistress of Miss Robichaux Academy from Coven and Billie Dean Howard from Murder House. Another character she will be playing goes by the name of Venable, which may be the one from the tweet–but time will tell soon enough!
