Season 8 of American Horror Story is seriously gearing up to be #showgoals with all the returning cast members reprising multiple iconic roles for the upcoming crossover. Next up? Dylan McDermott & Evan Peters on set together.

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has been giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at season 8 as cast members return to film their scenes for the epic crossover season.

Last week, we all rejoiced over the news of Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott returning this season to reprise their roles from season 1’s Murder House.

Earlier today, McDermott took to Instagram to post a picture of himself and Evan Peters on set–and it has us super excited for what’s in store.

Peters will be playing two roles in American Horror Story this season including that of Tate from Murder House. As a quick refresher, the character of Tate (dressed up as Rubber Man ::cringe::) raped Vivien Harmon, played by Connie Britton in season 1.

Vivien gave birth to Tate’s child, Michael who we learn is the Antichrist. It’s going to be one hell of an awkward reunion when everyone comes together, and we’re fairly certain Michael is at the center of it all.

Just like old times, indeed. Along with McDermott, Peters, and Britton, many many cast members have already been confirmed including Emma Roberts, Taissa Farmiga, Stevie Nicks, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Billie Lourd.

A new addition to the alums will be Dynasty’s Joan Collins who will be playing the role grandmother to Peters’ other character.

The cast is so stacked and we have no idea how the story, plot, and characters will come together, but either way, it’s going to be so epic.

Besides the casting, not much information has been released about what season 8, but much can be assumed based on what characters are returning and the title of the season itself.
