Four actors, including Tyler Hoechlin and Justin Chatwin, will join Katee Sachhoff in Netflix’s upcoming sci-fi series Another Life.

Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf, Supergirl), Justin Chatwin (Shameless, Orphan Black), Samuel Anderson (Loaded), and Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (The Walking Dead) will join Battlestar Galactica alum Katee Sackhoff in Netflix’s upcoming sci-fi drama Another Life.

The 10-episode series was created by Aaron Martin, who was also responsible for creating the recent series Slasher. Martin will serve as Another Life‘s showrunner.

Katee Sackhoff stars in the series as Niko Breckinridge, an astronaut who leads a mission to find alien intelligence. She and her crew investigate the origins of an alien artifact, a mission so dangerous they may not make it home.

Hoechlin will play Ian Yerza, the spaceship The Salvare’s former commander, a position he loses to Niko. Hoechlin starred as Derek Hale on Teen Wolf and has appeared on Supergirl as Superman, a role he will reprise this season.

Chatwin will play Erik Wallace, Niko’s husband and part of the United States Interstellar Command, an organization whose mission is to find intelligent alien life. Chatwin was Jimmy on Shameless for that show’s third, fourth, and fifth seasons. He also played Jason Kellerman on Orphan Black.

Anderson will play William, a sentient A.I. that will appear as a holographic interface, a new life form that can access all of humanity’s knowledge. Anderson has played characters on numerous series, including Leon in Loaded, Patrick in Witless, and Danny in Doctor Who.

Ludlow will play Cas Isakovic, Niko’s fiercely loyal second-in-command. Ludlow played Arat on the most recent season of The Walking Dead and will next appear in the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions, Legally Blonde) also has a recurring role on the series.

In addition, to the casting news, it was announced that TV director Omar Madha will direct the first two episodes of the series. Madha has directed numerous TV series, including Scorpion, The 100, Turn, and 24: Live Another Day.

The cast of Another Life is shaping up nicely. Sackhoff and Hoechlin, in particular, are well-known to genre audiences, who will likely be excited to see them in their new roles. If the story is entertaining and interesting, the show could garner a lot of positive attention.
