Katherine Langford to star in new Netflix series
From 13 Reasons Why to Cursed, Katherine Langford really likes dark acting roles!
It was only a matter of time before Katherine Langford landed another juicy role.
Langford, known for starring as Hannah Baker on 13 Reasons Why will return to Netflix as Nimue in Cursed. The show is based on the Lady of the Lake from the King Arthur legend. Frank Miller, known for writing comic book Sin City will create and write the series. Tom Wheeler (The Lego Ninjago Movie) will also write and produce.
If you’re a fan of 13 Reasons Why you know that Hannah finally… crossed over shall we say? So, Langford is no longer needed.

She was nominated for a Golden Globe for the role, so we know she’s talented. And since she’s popular in the YA genre, it makes sense for her to be cast on what is sure to be another popular Netflix series.
Although Cursed is a based on the Arthurian legend, the 10-episode series will be told through Nimue, a young heroine with a gift who eventually becomes the mighty Lady of the Lake.
According to Deadline, Cursed is “a coming-of-age story whose themes are familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war, and finding the courage to lead in the face of the impossible.”
Something else that’s cool about this series is that Miller and Wheeler will be writing a companion book in 2019. This is the first time series writers will ever have also written a companion book.
There’s no word yet on when this series may be ready for viewers, especially since it hasn’t even begun filming.
