Veronica Mars: Jason Dohring and Francis Capra to return for revival

The Veronica Mars revival just got a whole lot cooler, Marshmallows.

Veronica Mars is coming back and with it many of the familiar faces from the iconic series including Jason Dohring (Logan), Francis Capra (Weevil), Percy Daggs III (Wallace) and David Starzyk (Richard Casablancas), according to a Deadline report.

Creator Rob Thomas took to Twitter to make this announcement earlier this week (and promises even more to come!) and Marshmallows around the world collectively celebrated out of excitement and joy. Along with the cast, Thomas also revealed the series writers for the upcoming 8 episodes on Hulu.

Bell will be reprising the lead role when the series returns in 2019 for the hour-long limited Hulu series. Isn’t this all so exciting?! Thomas will be writing the first episode of the new season which is essentially the perfect way to kickstart this cult classic’s return.

The Veronica Mars revival will focus on spring breakers that are being murdered in Neptune which will take away from the tourist industry and surely cause issues for the town. Mars Investigations will be hired to look into the mystery by the parents of one of the victims to help them find who killed their son. Here is the synopsis as described by Deadline:

"“Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”"

We cannot wait to see where the series will take us when the revival makes a comeback and it’s safe to say that fans cannot wait a minute longer to see their favorite investigator make her return.
