2019 will be a big year for Sophie Turner, with Game of Thrones ending and a new X-Men movie.

Many Game of Thrones actors can’t really go anywhere or do anything without being asked about the final season. Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on the hit HBO fantasy series, is one of them.

While promoting her new movie, Dark Phoenix in which she plays X-Men character Jean Grey, Sophie, of course, was asked about the series and role that catapulted her into stardom.

When she read the script, she calls reading the final script satisfying but also produced a lot of tears.

According to Turner, the ending of Game of Thrones was what she called “satisfying” for the storylines for all the characters. She said that it was also satisfying to act out the end of the story for all these characters.

With that said, She is just not sure if it will be satisfying for all Game of Thrones fans. According to Turner, there will be a lot of fans that will be disappointed but that there are also a lot of fans that will probably be “over the moon.”

"I think it will be really interesting to see people’s reactions, but for me reading the script it was just like heartbreaking to read at the very final page of the script it just says, ‘End of Game of Thrones.’"

Sophie Turner also said that the script for the Game of Thrones finale was very emotional.

She goes on to say that it’s been hard to say goodbye to the show, which she has been on for nearly ten years, calling it “bittersweet.”

She then gave a peek into what to expect for her character. According to Turner, Sansa will own who she is and what she wants. She continues, “I feel she is the most self-assured character in the show.”

As far as her future in acting, that remains to be seen. Dark Phoenix will be the last X-Men movie (for now) since Disney is acquiring 20th Century Fox.

But Turner is actually open to reprising her role in future X-Men movies. She said (and this might constitute spoilers for fans of the X-Men universe),

"“I approach every project as if it’s my last just in case because I don’t want to be let down. But I think with the ending of this story there’s always room to do more X-Men. We always kind of leave it open, so there’s that option."

Turner said that she also heard rumors about the future of the X-Men franchise now that Disney is acquiring Fox but she said that — even for the actors involved — the rumors are all conflicting. She then joked that she likely knows as much as anyone else.

"Hopefully this one grabs the audience enough that they want to see another one. Who knows.”"

Game of Thrones returns sometime next spring, while Dark Phoenix premieres in theaters Valentine’s Day 2019.
