Game of Thrones will return April 2019
Winter is coming next April Game of Thrones fans!
Game of Thrones fans rejoice! HBO finally announced when Game of Thrones’ last season will hit television. Expect it to return April 2019.
The premium channel didn’t announce an exact date, but we know it will be either April 7, April 14, April 21, or April 28. And honestly, I’m just happy to have an idea of when we will see new episodes.
The announcement came on the show’s Twitter page with the following tweet:

The tweet also had the first teaser for the show’s final season along with the announcement. But if you’re looking for a glimpse of the new season, you won’t find any. The teaser is full of scenes from the previous seven seasons.
Even with no new footage, it still gets me pumped up for the grand finale.
To drum up even more buzz about the final season of Game of Thrones, as if they even had to, HBO created a marketing campaign called #ForTheThrone. They also released a series of posters highlighting monumental moments in various characters’ lives on the show. Even some dearly departed characters got their own poster. Across the center of each reads, “#ForTheThrone.”

The network is also planning to take over Grand Central Station with 150 variants of the posters. So, if you happen to be in New York, look out for them.
Game of Thrones FINALLY returns April 2019.
