Travelers fans, rejoice! Netflix has announced the season 3 premiere date for the sci-fi series–and it’s soon!
Travelers third season is coming to Netflix sooner than some might have expected! The sci-fi series is set to premiere season 3 on December 14th which gives fans a month to re-watch and/or binge the series for the first time.
The Canadian Netflix series was created by Stargate Atlantis’ Brad Wright and stars Will and Grace’s Eric McCormack. Netflix is the exclusive network to get Travelers for it’s first run globally including Canada (how cool is that!), according to Deadline.
The sci-fi drama series first premiered in 2016 in Canada and was highly rated for its first season as a new fall series. And for those of you who have never watched Travelers, let us be the first to fill you in ahead of its season 3 premiere.
The story takes place hundreds of years in the future when the only humans left in the world figure out how to send consciousness back in time to the 21st century.
The individuals who do this are referred to as “travelers” and assimilate into the lives of random people back in time and work in teams in secret to prevent terrible things from happening in the future.
The third season will follow McCormack’s character and his team as they grapple with obstacles in artificial intelligence and are left to deal with trust, loyalty, and death. Now that their secret is out, they must work with the FBI keeping tabs on them while preventing the public from finding out who they are.
Along with McCormack, MacKenzie Porter, Nesta Cooper, Jared Abrahamson, Reilly Dolman, and Patrick Gilmore co-star in Travelers and are returning for the story’s continuation in season 3. So mark your calendars for December 14th, and get ready for another epic season of the sci-fi series!
