Chilling Adventures of Sabrina adds to cast for holiday special

Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is prepping for a stellar holiday special and season 2 with the addition of three new cast members!

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was simply going to be a Halloween-themed spooky show, you thought wrong. It was recently announced that the series is going to do a holiday episode titled “A Midwinter’s Tale”, and fans couldn’t be happier. Considering the first season just came out, it’s exciting to see more of this world this soon, even if its just one episode.

And if the holiday special isn’t exciting enough, Deadline reported that The Haunting of Hill House’s (and basically everything else) McKenna Grace will be playing a younger Sabrina in it. The show has also cast Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Alexis Denisof and The Originals’ Jedidiah Goodacre for Part 2 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

If we’re being honest, Grace is the perfect person to play a young Sabrina and could easily pass as Kiernan Shipka’s younger sister. If you don’t believe us, just look at Shipka’s Instagram post below!

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina special will follow Sabrina as a younger witch during the Winter Solstice celebration. But young Sabrina has a very special wish to make and she is willing to do whatever it takes to get the word out to Santa Claus. Oooh, we really can’t wait for this one!

If Grace looks familiar to you, that’s because she is. At a very young age, she has made her presence known in Hollywood and been in critically-acclaimed movies and shows including I, Tonya and most recently, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House. So it comes as no surprise that she is adding another amazing show to her list of accomplishments.

So who will the other two new cast members be playing? Well, they are not in the holiday special but rather in the second season. Denisof is set to play the boyfriend to Michelle Gomez’s Madam Wardwell. He comes back to Greendale after being away for a while (and he’s certainly easy on the eyes). He has no idea that Wardwell is now Madam Satan, so it will be fun to see how that plays out.

Meanwhile, Goodacre is going to be playing a warlock by the name of Dorian Gray who owns a nightclub called Dorian’s Gray Room. He’s an intriguing character whose age is unknown and is master at holding onto secrets. If you’re a fan of the novel, you’ll know exactly who this character is.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina holiday special will stream on Netflix on Dec. 14th!
