Logan Lerman (Perks of Being a Wallflower) is now in talks to lead the upcoming Amazon Prime series The Hunt created and written by David Weil and executive-produced by Jordan Peele.

The Hunt takes place 1977 New York City and centers around a group of Nazi hunters imaginatively called The Hunters.  The Hunters find there are an alarming number of high ranking Nazi officials now living in America under assumed identities and plotting to start a Fourth Reich in the U.S.  The diverse Hunters work to put a stop to these nefarious plans and bring the Nazis to justice.

Lerman’s role would be as Jonah Heidelbaum.  Heidelbaum, while in the process of searching for the unknown intruder who killed his grandmother, finds himself mixed up with The Hunters.

Lerman, while a well known young actor and former child star (he famously starred in the film adaptation of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) since the early 2000s, has been flying under the radar the last few years.  Since the release of Fury back in 2014, he’s only had about a handful of credits to his name mostly in little seen indie films.  Two of those credits, however, Shirley and End of Sentence are currently in post-production so it could be time now for him to make a comeback.

Nikki Toscano, who was the executive producer on FOX’s 24: Legacy, will also serve as the executive producer on The Hunt. Deadline broke the news in the summer she had boarded the project.

The Hunt which has already received a straight to series order will presumably air its ten-episode season on Amazon Prime sometime in late 2019 or early 2020.
