The fairytales aren’t going anywhere as Tell Me A Story gets a season 2 renewal!

Tell Me A Story had a slow start but as the premiere season has gone on, it’s definitely caught our attention. And it looks like CBS All Access agrees considering they renewed the modern-day fairytale series for a second season. Currently, the series still has three episodes left in season 1, but the early renewal only means great things for the show’s future.

For those of you who have not seen Tell Me A Story, you’re missing out. It takes the stories of “The Three Little Pigs”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, and “Hansel and Gretel” and puts a very dark take on them. Honestly, if you take a closer look at any of these children stories, they’re already pretty frightening.

But put a psychological twist on them, they get even scarier. The three stories mentioned above are combined together for Tell Me A Story and traverse murders, robberies, love, and a very long list of very frightening things. And it’s worth every minute of watching, trust us.

You’ll recognize many familiar faces in Tell Me A Story–many that you have sorely missed. Check out the list below (and don’t faint when you see Paul Wesley’s name):

  • James Wolk
  • Billy Magnussen
  • Dania Ramirez
  • Danielle Campbell
  • Paul Wesley
  • Kim Cattrall
  • Dorian Missick
  • Michael Raymond-James
  • Davi Santos
  • Sam Jaeger
  • Zabryna Guevara

We’re grateful for the renewal especially since the streaming service just canceled a series for the first time ever. Honestly, CBS All Access has developed some amazing shows in the short period of time it’s been around. Other shows worth checking out include Star Trek: Discovery and Good Fight. Of course, the Star Trek universe is also expanding on CBS All Access and a Twilight Zone reboot is currently in production.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Tell Me A Story for snagging a season 2 renewal. It’s well-deserved and we can’t wait to see how the rest of season 1 plays out.

Check out new episodes of Tell Me A Story every Thursday on CBS All Access! And if you haven’t watched the show yet, be sure to catch the first seven episodes on the streaming service as well–you won’t regret it!
