The Punisher: Deborah Ann Woll set to return as Karen Page in season 2

Karen Page will be returning to The Punisher in season two.

While Daredevil might be over, one character will live on for at least one more show. According to ScreenRant, Deborah Ann Woll will reprise her character, Karen Page, in the upcoming season of The Punisher. Karen is one of the few people who Frank can trust, so it doesn’t come as a big surprise she would be back.

In an interview with Steven Lightfoot, the showrunner of The Punisher, he confirmed Karen’s return.

"“We were shooting while Daredevil was shooting (its third season). Deborah has a huge part in that season… Deborah was very busy, and I didn’t know when I could get her into the show this time around. In the world of the show, that relationship continues to be very important.”"

Based on his comment, it seems like she might not have a large role in season two. However, it seems like she’ll still be utilized well despite her limited screen time. Early speculation for The Punisher teased the show might be shifting locations to Ohio based on early casting calls. Considering the new scenery, it would make sense for Karen to stay behind in New York.

Especially because The Punisher season 2 presumably takes place after the events of Daredevil season 3. Now that Matt Murdock is alive, it would seem likely that he would help out in whatever fight Karen would jump into alongside Frank.

While Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist won’t be returning for another season, there’s no word on the renewal chances for The Punisher. If the show does end up returning, it’s unclear if Netflix would need to get Deborah Ann Woll under contract again for any more appearances alongside the Jon Bernthal led series.
