Orange Is The New Black: Alicia Witt will have recurring role in season 7

Singer-songwriter and actress Alicia Witt will star in a recurring role on the seventh and final season of Orange Is The New Black.
Orange Is The New Black will soon air its final season, and most of us are not prepared to say goodbye just yet.
As it prepares to do so, it is starting to announce tidbits of information regarding the seventh season. According to Deadline, actress Alicia Witt (The Walking Dead, Twin Peaks) has just been cast in a recurring role.
Witt will be playing a character named Zelda, “a professional fundraiser for various high-end non-profit organizations. A strong, chic and low-key New York sophisticate who went to Dartmouth, she strives to be in control of every situation”, according to Deadline’s report.
Not much else is known besides this or how Witt’s character will play into the anticipated story of Orange Is The New Black, but given how last season ended, we can only imagine.
At the end of season 6, a lot of changes went down including Piper’s (Taylor Schilling) release, Blanca’s (Laura Gomez) possible detour into a detention center, and Taystee’s (Danielle Brooks) transfer.
It seems like things are about to get much worse in the world of Orange Is The New Black and with many of the characters spread apart, we are curious to see how the season will play out.
Orange Is The New Black first aired on Netflix in 2013, making it one of the O.G. Netflix originals and a critically acclaimed fan-favorite series. It will certainly be hard to bid farewell to the inmates of Litchfield after so many years of being invested in their story, but alas, all good things must come to an end.
One thing is for certain, based on Witt’s character description, the characters will certainly be dealing with another strong, opinionated female superior, which always makes for some interesting storylines on this show.
