Hear ye, hear ye! The Crown has found its Princess Diana–and she’s perfect.

The Crown has been gone from our lives for way too long, and the only thing keeping us going is all the casting decisions. The latest casting announcement is one fans have been anticipating for quite some time–who is going to play Princess Diana? According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, Netflix announced last week that actress Emma Corrin will be playing this iconic role in season 4.

Corrin’s credits include an upcoming film called Misbehavior as well as a recurring role on Epix’s Batman show, Pennyworth. If you’ve seen her picture, then you’ll be in complete agreement that she is the one to play the role of the adored and admired Princess Diana.

Netflix made the announcement last week on Twitter and stated that filming for the fourth season will begin sometime later this year. Which leads us to our next question–when the heck will season 3 premiere? Don’t worry, Netflix has an answer for us, sort of.

So Netflix hasn’t given fans an exact premiere date as of yet, but they have revealed that it will release in the latter half of 2019. This will mark over a year and a half since season 2, which is far too long to make us all wait. During its quarterly meeting, Netflix said we can expect a premiere date anytime after July 1st, according to Deadline.

The Crown will join the likes of Stranger Things13 Reasons Why, and the final season of Orange Is The New Black which are all set to premiere in the second half of 2019. It’s going to be one heck of a year if you’re asking me!
