On My Block lives to see another day with season three renewal

Looks like we’ll get some answers to the On My Block season two cliffhanger, after all!

On My Block will be back for another season on Netflix! The dramedy following a group of teen kids growing up in a less-than-safe neighborhood will return, and we couldn’t be more excited. This renewal comes about a month after the second season premiered and left us all with yet another cliffhanger finale. They sure do love those O-M-G moments, don’t they?

Production will begin sometime this year, according to a report released by Deadline so we can expect a premiere date of around the same time as season two. Thankfully, all previous cast members will be returning for the third season, despite the fact that we’re not sure where they will be when On My Block returns.

The official Twitter for the series made the announcement earlier this week with a clip of fan requests asking about the third season. It looks like their wish is Netflix’s command, and I for one am super hyped to get more of this addicting story.

While no official synopsis or storyline has been announced for the third season, we can only imagine what it could be. The recent season ended with the kids being abducted by, well, we’re not sure who, but if I had to guess, maybe The Prophets? They certainly pissed some people off during the course of season two and it looks like they’re about to find out the repercussions of it.

On My Block found a fanbase rather quickly after its season one premiere, and since then has only grown. For a show to end the way it did in its first season, you know it’s going to only get better. I’m just happy Ruby made it out alive because that would have been a  cause for a riot.
