The Hammonds finally decide to work as a family unit as a life-changing decision is made on this episode of Santa Clarita Diet.
Santa Clarita Diet makes some progress with its narrative in this episode. Thanks to Sheila and Joel, Eric is no longer a suspect for the fracking incident. They made sure to handle that, didn’t they? However, this season of shenanigans has caused some undue stress on Abby and as a result, she’s riddled with nightmares. But, for some reason, she still wants to be Joel’s heir if he gets involved with the Knights of Serbia.
Sheila’s Meal on Wheels client, Jean, is now undead (just in case you forgot). She’s feeling great and is on top of the world, and ecstatic to eat the body parts Sheila is bringing her. And that’s not all, folks! It turns out that Jean’s caretaker has been taking advantage of her old age and cashing checks. As Jean comes to learn, it is why her landlord has been trying to evict her.
At first, Sheila wants Jean to control her anger and not eat the caretaker. Let’s just say that doesn’t go as planned because it’s Sheila who gets livid with the caretaker and ends up eating her. Welcome to your first human meal, Jean.

Back at the Hammonds’ home, Ron drops by to pick up the serum but Joel ends up capturing him instead. They need to control Ron’s urge to turn everyone, and this is just about the only thing that may work.

Remember when we said Eric is no longer a suspect for the fracking incident? While that’s still the case, one of his school friends happens to find a detonator in his car. Uh oh, can she keep her mouth shut or will this be the end of Eric’s freedom?
As this episode of Santa Clarita Diet comes to a close, Joel and Sheila decide to finally make Abby a part of what they do. It might not be the best environment for a teenager, but their life is what it is. With that sentiment, they decide to make Abby the heir to Joel’s Knights of Serbia application. After submitting the application, a notification pops up saying that the Grand Knight Prior will swing by for a home visit.
