American Horror Story: 1984 is bringing an iconic decade to life with a slasher vibe, that 80s hair, and of course, and a whole lot of aerobics.

American Horror Story: 1984 is going to be one hell of a ride, and I can’t wait to embark on it. Of course, I say this with a grain of salt because some of the more recent seasons haven’t been as great as I would have liked. You know, like the crossover season. It just didn’t live up to the hype, but that’s a whole different story.

Looking ahead to the ninth season of American Horror Story, we have a lot to look forward to because it’s going to be all about the 80s! Yes, the 80s! We’ve got the enormous hair, the stretchy aerobic pants, and of course, the whole slasher angle.

Earlier this week, Deadline reported that the first official full-length trailer had dropped and it has everything you could love about the 80s. Did you all see Billie Lourd’s fabulous hair? Or what about that jacket Cody Fern is showing off? I just love it!

Season 9 of American Horror Story is all taking place at a camp (so 80s, isn’t it?) and of course, things will get out of control when a murderer named Mr. Jingles is released. What happens next? Oh, you know, murders, disappearances, and a whole lot of 80s throwbacks to the classic slasher films.

As a fan of the 80s horror movies, I’m stoked about the season, and I’m really crossing my fingers that it doesn’t disappoint us in any way. I’m investing all my Ryan Murphy fan love into this season and I can only hope that he gives us the best season of American Horror Story ever. Although, I will sorely miss Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, so not sure how great it could be without them.

I guess time will tell.
