Impulse: When will season two premiere on YouTube Premium?

YouTube Premium’s critically-acclaimed drama Impulse will be returning for season two this fall, and now we know exactly when. (Hint: It’s pretty soon!)

It’s been over a year now since Impulse premiered on YouTube Premium to rave reviews and was swiftly renewed, but fans won’t have to wait much longer to check back in with their favorite characters and see if that gut-wrenching cliffhanger is really as tragic as it seems.

According to Deadline, Impulse season two will be jumping to YouTube Premium on October 16. Star Maddie Hasson, who plays the main character Henry Coles, also posted a video revealing the news on Instagram.

For any new viewers who looking to catch up ahead of season two or fans who want to watch it all over again, the 10-episode first season is currently free to stream. However, the offer is only available through the end of the summer, which presumably means Labor Day or shortly thereafter. The series has been a resounding success for YouTube, with the pilot drawing in over 42 million views.

For anyone who is caught up (WARNING: spoilers ahead), here’s what we know about season two so far. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Henry’s life will be getting any easier. In addition to potentially having lost her mother, Cleo, Henry will be facing new threats as she delves deeper into the world of teleportation. As Nikolai, the guy who may or may not have murdered Cleo, reveals to Henry in the trailer, his employers want to use her abilities for their own ends.

Alongside Hassan, season 2 will see Missi Pyle, Sarah Desjardins, Enuka Okuma, and Craig Arnold return in their leading roles.
