From present-day sunny Santa Clarita to 1950s Kansas City, Timothy Olyphant is set to star in Fargo season 4.

Fargo season 4 is turning out to have a pretty epic cast with no signs of stopping. After the recent announcement that Orange is the New Black’s Uzo Aduba would be joining the fourth season, the series has added yet another big-name celebrity to the mix. Whoever would that be? The only and only Timothy Olyphant.

After previously starring on FX’s Justified, Olyphant is making his return to the network with Fargo in a major recurring role. Not much is known about the character he’s playing. However, Deadline reported that he’d be playing someone named Dick “Deafy” Wickware. Deafy, huh?

Is it safe to assume his character may be short of hearing? Given the nature of a show like Fargo, that may not be the best thing. Can you imagine the types of things villains could get away with? Well, unless he’s a villain himself.

As previously mentioned, Olyphant is joining a stacked cast that includes Aduba, Chris Rock, Jack Huston, Ben Whishaw, and many more. I personally find the premise very intriguing because we’re stepping away from the Dakotas and Minnesota, and heading to 1950s Kansas City, Missouri. It’s a different time and place, and a war between two criminal families is settled in an odd way–by trading their youngest sons.

The premise revolves around a time of migration in which African Americans are trying to get away from the South and Southern Europeans are trying to chase the American Dream. The collision and friction between these two groups make for the foundation of Fargo season 4.

I think we’re in for a treat with season 4, especially with the change in scenery, time, and of course, the epic cast. Unfortunately, we won’t get to watch season 4 until sometime in 2020 as production is set to begin this fall (it may have started already!).
