There’s an older queen in town in the season 3 teaser trailer for The Crown.

The Crown is finally returning with a third season in just a couple of months, and after what’s been a long hiatus, we are ready to see where the story goes next. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last two years, then you know that the cast has been completely changed to reflect the aging royal family.

The series is going to continue trekking forward in decades, and when season 3 of The Crown begins, we’ll be starting in the 1960s. As you can imagine, everyone looks a bit different, and the teaser trailer proves that even the Queen has taken notice to it.

Can I just say that whoever selected this cast has done an incredible job? Not only do the actors look like the real-life individuals they are playing, but somehow, they also look like the aged versions of the actors that were playing the younger version of the Queen.

I don’t know how they pulled it off, but it’s truly amazing!

As is seen in the teaser, we see Olivia Colman channel this older, wiser version of Queen Elizabeth as she looks upon her old commissioned photo and the one of her now. Things have changed quite a bit, and dare she say that she may even be an “old bat” now.

When season 3 begins, things will be quite the hustle bustle with a new prime minister taking charge, Britain changing with the times, and of course, many pivotal events in history that changed the course of things forever. I think it’s going to be a very intense season with a lot heading our way.

I’m excited to see what this next season of The Crown brings, and what unbelievable history lessons we will be given about the royal family. It’s like they need a show dramatized around them or something.

The Crown season 3 premieres on Netflix on Sunday, Nov. 17th!
