First, The Politician, and now Hollywood. Could David Corenswet be Ryan Murphy’s new favorite actor?

Hollywood is set to be another one of Ryan Murphy’s Netflix Originals and based on what I’ve read about it so far, it’s going to be pretty epic. Now, we all know Ryan Murphy loves to use the same cast members over and over again. Once you’ve been successful in a Murphy series, then you’re pretty much set for life.

Such seems to be the case for David Corenswet, who will be starring in The Politician (premiering this week) and has just been cast in a lead role for Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood, according to Deadline. Oh, and he’s also executive producing it. I’m telling you–once you go Murphy, your career is made.

There aren’t many details available regarding Hollywood but Murphy did say it is “a love letter to the Golden Age of Tinseltown.” It is supposedly set in the 1940s, but there has been no official confirmation just yet. If there is anyone who does interesting period pieces from the last century well, it’s Ryan Murphy. Did I mention I love Ryan Murphy?

Along with Corenswet, another Murphy favorite was previously announced to be a part of Hollywood. The one and only Darren Criss who is also joining as an executive producer. This series is gearing up to be quite an exciting project.

dark. Next. This is Us season 4 premiere recap: Strangers

It will also mark Murphy’s third Netflix Original series since he signed on with them. We’ll get our first look later this week when The Politician begins streaming and hopefully, Ratched, will follow suit soon after. That’s the beauty of streaming, isn’t it? We don’t have to wait months to see Murphy’s work on-screen!

Don’t miss Corenswet on The Politician as he stars opposite Ben Platt. It’ll be our first glimpse at how he does in Murphy’s world.
