Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood cast continues to grow

Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood has the cast that keeps on giving!
Hollywood is gearing up to be one hell of a Netflix series thanks to Ryan Murphy. This week, in particular, has been a great one of the series as it’s gained some notable cast members. Deadline was the first to report that the show has gained not one, not two, but eight cast members over the last day.
Before we get into who has been cast, let’s talk a little bit about Hollywood. Whatever is this series about? Well, first off, this will mark Ryan Murphy’s third Netflix series since signing his deal, and dare I say, it could be his best one.
Based in 1940s Hollywood, the series will be “a love letter to the Golden Age of Tinseltown”. Doesn’t that already sound super exciting?! According to Deadline, the story will follow three lead characters played by Jeremy Pope, Darren Criss, and David Corenswet. Earlier this week, it was announced that Corenswet would be joining the cast, followed by Pope, who has made quite the name for himself on Broadway this past year.
But wait, there’s more! Way more!
- Dylan McDermott: Ernie
- Samara Weaving: Claire
- Jim Parsons: Henry Wilson
- Maude Apatow: Henrietta
- Joe Mantello: Dick
- Laura Harrier: Camille
- Jake Picking: Rock Hudson
Can you believe this cast?! And these are just the actors that were added this week. They don’t include previously announced cast members Darren Criss, Holland Taylor, and Patti LuPone. Seriously, guys, I think this show is going to create some ruckus, some amazing ruckus!
Principal photography began this summer, so while we aren’t close to a premiere date just yet, we’re well on our way!
Hollywood is going to cover a very iconic time for film and movies, and I’m excited to see what stories Murphy and his crew come up with. If you’re a fan of Murphy’s then you know that he loves old Hollywood–look no further than his FX series, Feud. The first season followed Bette Davis and Joan Crawford and their rivalry and was very, very intriguing.
I think we can expect the same from Hollywood, and I look forward to what’s to come.
